Andrew Ceccon (che-cone)

Making up full songs in his head even before learning to strum a tennis racket, Andrew Ceccon always dreamed of performing his music to crowds. He has penned 100+ songs across many genres, with a quirky passion for blending his rock, folk, jazz and country influences into his body of work. From the 1990s through the 2010s, he fronted Very Very, a trio that released three albums and played the circuit of New York City clubs that featured original artists. He continues to record new tunes under the Very Very name and has been scripting and scoring a musical.
Andrew is a singer and guitarist, but he also plays piano/keyboards, bass and a variety of eclectic instruments. In RADIO 506, he plays electric and acoustic guitar and his beloved 1979 Wurlitzer A200. He particularly enjoys harmonizing with his wife Teresa Perez Ceccon.
Andrew was an original member of one of NJ's premier Pink Floyd tribute bands, Heroes for Ghosts. He has been involved in several other bands and projects, including Triplefret and Bob Dylan tribute band Bottle of Bread.
Jason Curcio
Lead Guitar
Jason Curcio has been a musician for 30+ years, playing a wide variety of instruments since he was a kid. In 1989, he picked up the guitar and never turned back. He graduated from William Paterson University with a bachelor’s degree in music education in 2001 and then went on to receive his master’s degree. Jason is currently an instrumental music teacher, teaching band and jazz band at a public school. In addition to his day gig, he has played for numerous musical theater productions over the last 20+ years, including Rent, The Rocky Horror Show, Tommy, Green Day’s American Idiot, Little Shop of Horrors, Mamma Mia and Hair. Over the last two decades, Jason has been in numerous original and cover bands - most recently including Blush and Triplfret - and has performed all over NJ and NYC.
Teresa Perez Ceccon
Vocals, Percussion
Teresa’s early life exposure to eclectic musical genres (rock, disco, Latin and jazz) set her on a lifetime artistic journey. In her more than 30-year career as a dancer, choreographer and educator, Teresa teaches modern jazz dance to students around the world in English and Spanish (check out Lines of Energy).
Teresa brings her powerful and distinct voice to RADIO 506, singing lead and harmonies and supporting the music with percussion. She was also a vocalist in Heroes for Ghosts, a premier NJ Pink Floyd tribute band. Over the years, Teresa has been involved in other musical projects, singing in a variety of shows and bands, most recently, Triplefret, The Plaine Truth and Unfinished Garage Band. She counts Stevie Nicks, Chrissy Hynde and Pat Benatar among her most influential vocalists.
Howard Freund
Saxophone, Flute, Keys, Wind Synth
Howard started playing clarinet at 7 years old and moved over to the saxophone shortly thereafter. He has been at it ever since. He plays in a number of bands of varying styles, including RADIO 506 and Heroes for Ghosts. Howard has had the opportunity to play alongside a number of his musical heroes.
He grew up dreaming of a lifetime of touring the world playing in bands, but has since changed his goal to be the musician who has played with the greatest number of bands at the famous Tierney’s Tavern (in his hometown of Montclair, NJ). Although saxophone is his main and favorite instrument, he dabbles in many others. His daughter once commented that he has more instruments than shirts… which is true.
Lou Tambone
Drums, Vocals
Lou Tambone is a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, author and UX designer from northern New Jersey. He started playing drums in his early teens, but soon branched out into other instruments like guitar, eventually learning how to record music at home on an old 4-track machine that now resides in a closet. In addition to writing and performing his own music, he plays with many diverse original and cover bands in the New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania area, wearing whatever musical hat is required. He crowd-funded and released an album called Jerseybound and is always working on new original music. He does lots of session work for local bands, adding his flavor of drums, percussion, vocals, and whatever else is required. Whether solo, playing with his original band, or performing with RADIO 506, he always gives his all.
Tom Lucas
Bass Guitar, Vocals
Tom has been involved in music for almost 40 years. He counts the guitar, bass guitar and keyboards as his main instruments. Music was always in the house growing up and his first influences were The Beatles, The Monkees and Tom Jones. Starting on drums when he was 4 years old, his parents wisely coaxed him to the more ear-friendly piano.
Writing songs since he was 10, Tom eventually became an accomplished singer/songwriter. His current original project, Sad About Girls, has reached fans all across the world and has had their music played on radio stations such as Little Steven’s Underground and the world-renowned WFMU.
He is also a recording engineer and runs Laughing Boys recording in South Orange. Tom has recorded artists such as Richard Barone, The Cucumbers, The Insomniacs and Andrew Ceccon’s band Very Very.
Playing in Radio 506 has enabled Tom to embrace the music he grew up on and play with top notch musicians. “I love the music, the songcraft and musicianship. Radio 506 pays homage to these songs and sounds with an eye to detail and true love. I’m honored to be a part of this.”
